Me and my fellow volunteer Stacey got to walk around at the end of the day to gather surplus from the farmers, and it was truly amazing how generous they were. One farmer gave 150 pounds of fresh vegetables! I was honored and proud to have been included in the experience and plan on volunteering again. Response downtown this weekend was great, and we hope it gets even better as we increase our visibility at the market.
