Summerville Express Route Public Hearing

Dorchester County will host a public hearing prior to their September 2007 County Council meeting for CARTA to receive public input regarding interest and support for a Summerville Express Route.

She’s using the new CARTA Express, which are those really nice white buses that have limited stops. Express routes are between James Island & North Charleston and Mt Pleasant & West Ashley, both with stops downtown.

I’ve ridden in the ordinary green ones and loved it! They drivers are extremely helpful (much more so than the route cards) and the buses are clean and cool.

Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!

Have you seen some of the buses plastered with adds? They are gawd-awful looking, especially when you see one downtown, but I guess it helps pay the bills.
