Roadtrip Recycling, Again
Posted by Chad Norman July 17th, 2007 .
I just got back from a week-long roadtrip to the Midwest, and I had my entire family on recycling watch. I blogged about recycling on the road last month when I drove to the Catskills, but this time I was traveling for an entire week with a family of four - yikes!
I’m happy to report that we recycled everything we could, which kept quite a bit of waste out of the landfill. A couple years ago I would have tossed this stuff in the garbage can each time I filled up my tank - not any more. My milk crate brimmed to the top with cans, bottles, Mapquest directions, newspapers, paperboard packaging, etc. We were at my in-laws home for three days, so for that span we used their recycling. So if you’re keeping score at home, you might need to take 2 crates with you for a week-long trip with four people. Happy road recycling!

Those look like bud light bottles?!?!
Yeah, when you travel with kids, a beer (or two) in the hotel room is a good thing.
