New Go Green Map
Posted by Chad Norman August 1st, 2007 .
I just finished another Go Green Map featuring locations where you can drop off used plant containers. These items are limited to round pots, flats, and trays. Not much, I know, but reducing our impact means resuing everything we can. And until biodegradable pots are the norm, or Charleston County starts recycling plastics 3-6, reusing these pots is our best option (other than avoiding them altogether.)
I’d also like to give a shout out to the 7 nurseries and garden centers who allow green gardeners like me to return these pots. It’s good for them, good for us, and good for the planet.
So if you find yourself accumulating a bunch of non-recyclable plant containers, fear not - you have a greener option!
