While you’re enjoying a much needed break from your weekly rush, take some time to step out and attend a green event this weekend. Here are three:

• The Little Green Bag Project will be handing out bags at the Whole Foods in Mount Pleasant at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning (August 18th). Stop by and support the cause.
• The Charleston Farmers Market will be in full swing in Marion Square on Saturday morning. Stop by for some locally grown produce, and check out the Fields to Families booth for fun volunteer opportunities.
• Charleston Earth Force is holding it’s First Day Festival on Sunday, August 19th in Liberty Square. This is an event that brings parents and students together the Sunday before the first day of school to raise environmental awareness. Volunteers are needed, so check their website for details.
