OK, I know I’ve been writing a lot about composting lately…but this post isn’t like all that. I really just wanted to write about how all of our green actions influence those around us, and how that helps the green movement spread.

In the short time since I’ve started my compost pile: My neighbor has begun leaving me leftover fruits and veggies, so I know his family of 3 have talked about it. My co-workers have all heard about my experiment, not to mention that you’ve endured my endless rants about composting. Then I came home from work the other day and my sons had built a tiny compost pile in the backyard (pictured above). All these people know a little more about sustainable activities just because we decided to start a pile – and we’re not shy about it. This is how things change.
