I’m little late getting this info to you all, but apparently today is the first ever Green Business Networking event for the Charleston-area. Here is what I know:

Join us for the first ever Green Business Networking event Monday, January 28th. It will run from 4:30 - 7:00 on the second floor of the Tate Center (enter through the Beatty Center, 5 Liberty Street). We’re inviting local businesses plus CofC students, alumni, staff and faculty. We’ll be leaving the agenda rather informal (as you would expect from a networking event). Our hope is to bring together a variety of knowledge, skills, motivation, and expertise to share ideas about helping businesses be more environmentally-friendly, starting new sustainable businesses, finding employees/employment and generating general networking contacts here in Charleston and the Lowcountry.

If you attend, let’s here about it in the comments section.

It may be too late for the January meeting, but we will have another one on April 14th. It will run from 4:30 - 7:00 at the Tate Center again (5 Liberty Street). This time we will have a focus on green building. If you’re interested in attending, please send an email RSVP to hansend [at] cofc dot edu. Of course you can still come if you don’t RSVP, but it will just help us make sure we stock enough of the complimentary food and beverages that will be available.
