		<description>That totally works Chucker...I used to do that in my *gasp* SUV. By practicing good habits, I could get from 17 to 22mpg.  Sad, but something.</description>

He&#039;s right but I have started to change. Now I slowly get my Saturn Ion up to speed instead of stomping on the gas and I set cruise control right at the speed limit. 

Of course, I don&#039;t have an electric alternative engine nor do I collect energy for the battery when I use the brakes. And, my engine does not automatically click off at a red traffic light.

He&#039;s averaging 53-54 mpg and I have increased mine up to 29-30 by changing some habits. He says he&#039;s noticed what I am doing and someday, maybe, I&#039;ll be allowed to own a hybrid.</description>
