Most plant containers from nurseries and garden centers cannot be recycled through Charleston County. Instead of throwing them away, we recommend dropping them off at one of the green friendly businesses on the map below - they’d be happy to reuse them. They typically accept all round pots, trays, and flats. They cannot resuse those thin plastic containers annuals come in. This is a great way to keep materials out of the landfills that can be easily reused. If you know of a nursery who reuses plant containers, please let us know.
